Searching

It is a special thing when believers get together to search for new ways to bear witness to the Kingdom in our present world.

This weekend Lee Camp came to Louisville to share with us the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is not often we hear the gospel in our churches. I think our situation is not unlike that which Paul addresses in Galatians. We have turned faithful witness to the gospel into nothing more than 'doing church right.'

But this weekend new seeds have been planted, and I pray God does some watering.

I found myself in agreement with Dr. Camp the majority of the time. I believe all were edified. I know I was. Thanks for your work in putting the weekend together.

Hey Adam-C. Ewing introduced me to your blogs (as well as Josh's, Allen Coffman's, etc) and I've been reading them often. I am inspired by your dedication to your family and our Lord. Anyway, email me when you get a chance at kyleandmelissavath@yahoo.com. (I don't believe I have your email anymore). Got some questions for you.

Adam,
Glenna and I went to the Tulsa International Soul Winning workship this past week and heard some pretty interesting stuff. However, one of the speakers was a man named Mark Moore who is a teacher at a Christian Church college in Joplin MO. However, he is working on his PHD and it is on the Politics of Jesus. He had heard of Yoder, but not Camp. I immediately went to one of the book stores in the exhibit area and bought him "Mere Discipleship". I don't know if he will ever make contact with Lee, but he is clearly of similar if not the same mind. His web site is www.markmoore.org if you want to look up any of his stuff. On page one are links to his handouts at the conference. Specifically look at the links to Ethics and Policits.
We miss you,
