Learning the hard way
I know many that read this blog will find this entry particularly amusing (mom and dad).
Emily left Friday night to spend an uplifting weekend with the women of Okolona, so that left Kylie and I together (ALL ALONE) for the weekend. Today has been a great day. We got up at the "butt" crack of dawn, had some breakfast together and played like crazy. We went to Dick's Sporting Goods to do some leisurely shopping, and headed over to the Party Store. Kylie talked me into buying a bottle of wine, and I thanked her for the recommendation.
Ok, now for the lessoned learned. We had some dinner, as is our custom, and then immediately followed dinner up with a bath. As I was washing her I decided it was time for me to use the restroom ( #1 of course). With the toilet water nice and yellow Kylie stands up and throws (shoots) her rubber ducky right in the commode. I should tell you we have been watcing some March Madness this weekend. I must say it was reminiscent of my fade away jumpers I used to shoot in my younger days. She thought is was hilarious, and I did too. You know when someone shoots a swish, they sometimes say "splash". Well, the net didn't splash, but the "yellow water" sure did. So after I cleaned up, I rescued the poor duck out of the pee infested waters. I think he is going to make it!!
Lesson Learned
Stop peeing around Kylie. She is an athlete!

Good to hear you are getting some quality time in with your daughter. Urine is supposed to be quite good for you - consider it a blessing.
Still looking forward to the weekend.
Your recall is pretty good. You could shoot a nice fade away. I see you still can't block a shot though. Next time it might be better to take the "goal tending" call, rather than having to sterilize ducky. You did sterlize ducky, didn't you? See you this weekend.
Actually I didn't sterilize ducky because a very wise person told me that urine is already steril. Go figure. Emily won't buy that yet, so he will have to take a run through the dishwasher I think.
dude
that may be the funniest thing i have read in a long time. thank you for that. i was actually laughing so hard mandy ask what i was reading. i love you and your family. take care.
So glad you got to have some catch-up time with your daughter--very funny story--I knew we were in trouble when Kylie says "bye-bye pee pee" after one flushes the commode...did she make the shot using her right or left hand. Love you all very much--I know you missed Emily and Kylie but I sure did enjoy being with them
If memory serves me correctly it was a right handed shot. Always wanted a lefty, but I think I still love her.
This cracked me up. You're a pretty funny guy.
